I was so sorry to learn of Jack's passing. I've thought about him through the years and was always grateful that he hired me to work with him at Seal, Inc.(Derby). It was my first job out of HS and he was always very patient especially when I couldn't read my own shorthand for a letter he dictated to me. Rest in peace, Jack, and to his wife and family, may God bless you and help you through this sad time.

I just learned that Jack passed away, and am shocked. I will never forget how much he and Vivian reached out to me when I was in law school at Yale and gave me such a warm sense of family. He was thoughtful, always there to help, and had a wonderful sense of humanity. Those qualities coupled with his fun sense of humor just made for a great guy. At my wedding, he gave me a present that captures what he was about -- a mounted medallion from Pelesh's Quality Market, which his grandfather (my great grandfather) and his mother operated for many years. It is on the wall of my office in Washington. I often look at it and feel a sense of pride and inspiration. Whenever I look at it from now on, I will always think of him. I am in California and regret very much that I won't be able to be at his funeral. Rest eternal. Mark Pelesh

We were so sad to learn of Jack’s passing. He was one of the friendliest people we have ever known; always able to put a smile on everyone’s face. One particular memory we have is when Jack brought a HUGE (poster size) card to our wedding and had people sign it. We still have that card today – great fun and wonderful memories. Jack was a true “class act, very genuine and caring of others. His memory WILL live eternal. God Bless you Jack.

I was very saddened to read of Jake's passing. We played grammar school baseball in our earlier years and we were reacquainted at our last high school reunion. As his obit states, he was indeed outgoing and had a keen sense of humor. We had exchanged email addresses at our last reunion and I always enjoyed reading his messages which were uplifting and would always make me smile. I will miss these communications. Hope to attend his wake Tuesday and please accept my condolences and best wishes, Charles (Chuck) Ryan A.H.S. Class of 1952
