Griffin Hospital has announced that their Spiritual Care Department has resumed in-house Bereavement Support Group Meetings. These meetings are confidential and free to anyone in the Greater Valley Community. The last few months have been especially stressful for families who have lost a loved one. In many cases, the loved person was in a hospital or long-term care facility, and unable to be visited by family. Family members were notified of their passing by telephone, and unable to say goodbye to their family member. In many cases, traditional wakes or funerals were replaced with smaller services or the family chose to delay a service until later date. These factors can often make the grieving process even more stressful and difficult for those who are left behind. Griffin Hospital is making every effort to support these families in any way possible to help easier their pain and sorrow.
