After being in the family for 51 years, I feel compelled to write a tribute to my mother-in-law. God has truly blessed me in so many ways but having the most outstanding mother-in-law is probably the most inspirational. She possessed so much love and patience and as the matriarch of the family was always there for the entire family as that was most important to her. She gave me strength in my darkest days and enjoyed going out with my parents. She was supportive and helpful and loved cooking for Pop’s and our catering business. Her recipes will always remain in our family to enjoy! She was an amazing woman who raised 6 children on her own. She loved her flowers in her backyard, her dogs, and the Atlantic City and Disney vacations she shared with us in earlier years. I will miss her Italian singing and always listening to Italian House Party on Sundays when she made her famous meatballs and sauce.
Motherly love is irreplaceable and losing her even at almost 94, is incredibly painful. She was an extraordinary woman whose legacy will live on in all of us. Ma, rest in peace- we will all miss you.
