Obituary of Frank DeLibero

 Frank DeLibero, age 60, beloved husband of Tracey Smith DeLibero of Ansonia, died peacefully on February 13, 2019 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, with his family by his side.  Born in Bridgeport on December 20, 1958, he was the son of the late Frank and May Paruka DeLibero.  Mr. DeLibero was raised in Stratford and was a graduate of Stratford High School.  He worked as a lead man in the Government Furnished Equipment Department of the Sikorsky Co. for over 30 years, until the time of his retirement in 2011.  A devoted family man, Mr. DeLibero enjoyed coaching his sons’ baseball, basketball and soccer teams; as well as attending countless football games, (tailgating despite weather conditions), especially supporting his sons as they dominated the Ansonia gridiron.  Together with his family, he enjoyed several memorable Caribbean cruises; and with his wife, Tracey, shopped many flea markets, made jaunts to the casinos, and every Friday, dined at Massimino’s Restaurant on Main St., Ansonia for lunch.  An Ansonia resident since 2000, Mr. DeLibero valued his community and dutifully served as the 7th Ward Republican Alderman for the City of Ansonia for nearly four years, until the time of his passing.  In addition to his wife of 30 years, he is survived by his cherished sons of whom he was so proud, Arthur R. DeLibero and Frank F. DeLibero of Ansonia; a godson and nephew, Ryan Smith of FL; a devoted cousin, Lorie Vaccaro of Ansonia; brothers-in-law, Arthur and Ronald Smith of FL; as well as many cousins and friends.  Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Holy Rosary Church, Father Salemi Dr., Ansonia.  Interment will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home, on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.  Memorial contributions may be to ARMS, Ansonia Rescue Medical Services, P.O.
