Mary Christina “Chrissie” Parker, age 74, beloved companion of Diane Baranowsky of Seymour, died April 23, 2017 at Griffin Hospital following a sudden illness. Born in Lyrebarry, Araglen, Co. Cork, Ireland on December 24, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Nora (Clancy) Parker. Ms. Parker was a longtime resident of Seymour and worked as a production employee for the former B.F. Goodrich Co. of Shelton. Proud of her Irish heritage, Ms. Parker enjoyed Celtic Music, Irish Festivals and long drives in the North West corner of CT where no trip was complete without stopping at the Lourdes of Litchfield Shrine. She was a voracious reader and despite the miles, stayed close to her beloved family in Ireland. In addition to her cherished companion of 40 years, she is survived by sister, Noreen Carey; sister-in-law, Maggie Parker; brother-in-law, Ned Carey, all of Ireland; nieces, Marie Moroney and Helen Wolf; nephews, Eamonn Carey, Michael Carey, Eddie Parker, Jimmy Parker, Michael Parker, Pat Parker, all of Ireland; cousins, Sr. Theresa Curley and Sr. Ann Curley, both of Bridgeport, James White of Shelton, Michael Clancy of Ireland, Larry Sullivan, Kathy Sullivan and Anthony Sullivan, all of Ansonia, Holly White of Hamden, Jay White and Steven White of Shelton; as well as many great nieces and nephews, friends and supportive neighbors. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Eileen Parker and brother, James Parker.
