Mr. Stuban was a commanding instructor who insisted on getting the best out of his students. So even after 50 years, his lessons are still remembered.
If every student had at least one instructor like him, I believe that we would all be better off because the entire society would benefit by a better educated population.

I never met Frank Stuban, but I know that he was a great man because I have had the pleasure and benefit of being able to call his son my "colleague and friend" for more than a decade. Frank's example and values inspired a family and clearly touched a community - what a magnificent legacy! Prayers for Frank and his family - that his soul may rest in peace and that his family is comforted by the wonderful contribution he made to the lives he touched!

I was one of the many thousands of students Mr. Stuban taught in Ukrainian folk dancing, language, writing, singing, and of course, pysanky. I believe it is partially because of him that I am so proud to share what little I learned as an 8 year old with the people in my life today. I would not have as strong a sense of my Ukrainian heritage without this and without Mr. Stuban's kind encouragement and gentle teaching. I am so very sad to hear of his passing, but in reading about his life, I am in awe of how much he accomplished, how much he had lived through, and how much he has passed on to his family and many friends. Wishing all his family and loved ones strength and comfort during this difficult time. My sincere sympathy.

Frank Stuban was be one of my best friends. He was always there for me and willing to help with whatever was needed. We would do anything for each other. Frank would help me 'til the wee hours of the morning. We would laugh for hours. He taught me many things. Frank was a man with the utmost integrity. We talked about him being my "best man". He lived a healthy and long life. I don't have the words to express how much he'll be missed. Frank was one of the greatest.
So, so sorry.
