Obituary of Patrick Nolan

Patrick Joseph Nolan, age 73 of AZ, formerly of Ansonia, husband of the late Terry Nolan, died peacefully on July 5, 2013 at the Horizon Care Home of Scottsdale, AZ. Born in Derby on March 17, 1940, he was the son of the late John and Marie Zenowich Nolan. Mr. Nolan was a graduate of Ansonia High School and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a lineman for the United Illuminating Company for many years until his retirement. Mr. Nolan moved to Florida, then to California, then settling in Chandler, AZ in 1993 and worked for the AZ Dept. of Water and Power, until his second retirement in 2003. He was an active member and devoted volunteer firefighter for the Charters Hose Co. 4, Ansonia and the Great Hill Hose Co. 1, Seymour. Mr. Nolan was proud to be a Marine Corps Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post # 35. He is survived by his children, Patrick Nolan of Milford and Maureen Nolan of Branford; brothers, James Nolan of CA, John Nolan of Ansonia and Robert Nolan of Meriden; grandchildren, Aidan, Noah and Matthew; as well as former spouses, Joanie Grainger Nolan of AZ and Roberta Cadoret Nolan of Milford. A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 10:00 AM in the CT State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.
