Obituary of Richard Vasinko

VASINKO- Richard Vasinko, age 87, beloved husband of Sophie Vasinko of Stratford, died February 15, 2012, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born on October 5, 1924, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Anna Vasinko. Mr. Vasinko was a 15 year Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft. For many years during the 1940's he was drummer in local "big bands". A Mass of Christian Burial, MEETING DIRECTLY AT CHURCH, will be Celebrated on Friday, February 17, 2012, at 9:00 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Ave., Stratford. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia is in care of arrangements.
