Obituary of Zofia Maria Luczkow

Zofia Maria Luczkow, age 70 of Shelton CT, beloved Mother, Companion and Friend entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 29, 2023 peacefully surrounded by her family.  As an immigrant from Poland, Zofia and late Gregory Luczkow started a life here in the United States. She was a full time Mother raising her two children, Robert Krasniewski and Jessica Luczkow (Scafa). She always strived to provide her children the best upbringing where no sacrifice was too great. She ensured their lives were rooted in love with a deep sense of pride for her country and heritage through family traditions. Nature and abundance of flowers brought Zofia peace, if she wasn’t inside cooking her best meals, you knew you could always find her in her gardens. She took pride in her home-grown vegetable garden every summer, especially her tomatoes which she loved passing out to everyone.

In her late years, Zofia and her loving companion Roman Szczepanski enjoyed each other’s company. They formed a bond of happiness and joy leaving no stone unturned in their life together. It brought them most happiness cruising the seas or trying to hit the jackpot at the casino. They loved their Dunkin’ Donuts coffee (Extra-large Decaf black with 5 sugars), walks at the beach, spontaneous road trips and spending time with their grandchildren, who they adored very much. They were very best friends and lived life to the fullest. Their dynamic made all those around them smile and laugh for hours.

In addition to family, she adored animals. Zofia spent a wonderful 15 years with beloved Hope, her long haired chihuahua. Most recently, she fell in love at first sight with her new grand puppy Lakota. He gave her endless kisses and loved laying with her on the couch during their visits.  Zofia’s work ethic and love for her family and friends was unprecedented. Downtime was no option for her, as she was constantly doing something keeping herself busy. She was immensely loved by many as her presence was contagious which will be remembered for decades to come.

She is survived by her devoted children, Robert Krasniewski and wife Paulina of Hamden, Jessica Luczkow (Scafa) and husband Vincent of Oxford ; step-children, Joanna Berardesca and husband Matthew of Wallingford, Daniel Szczepanski and wife Meredith of NH ; her beloved and cherished grandchildren, Alexander & Maximilian Krasniewski, Cody & Miles Berardesca, and Mikayla & Isabella Szczepanski.  Zofia was predeceased by her husband Gregory Luczkow and all her loving brothers, sisters and parents who patiently awaited to be reunited again.
