Obituary of Linda Komarowsky
Linda Komarowsky, age 68 of Beacon Falls, died Monday, November 14, 2022, at Bridgeport Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Derby on December 3, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine Bashura Spiwak. Ms. Komarowsky was raised in Ansonia and graduated from Ansonia High School. She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at the River Glen Health Care Center and for the Home Care Advantage Agency for many years. Linda cared for her patients with dignity and grace, always exceeding the scope of her duties for the well being of the aged and infirmed. Not one to sit still, Linda was currently employed at the deli counter of Stop & Shop, Seymour. She graduated from cooking school and was a fabulous chef, an additional benefit her patients enjoyed. Ms. Komarowsky loved the beach and together with her sister, Judy, would take excursions to Misquamicut, RI, among other favorite places. She was a devoted communicant of St. Michael Church of Beacon Falls, enjoyed a good walk and knitted blankets for her family and friends. She will be long remembered as a dedicated mother and sister, always unselfishly placing the needs of other before her own.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Daniel (Sandra Listro) Komarowsky of GA and Nicholas Komarowsky of Beacon Falls; sisters, Judith (Michael) Struwas of Oxford and Maureen (William) Snarski of AZ; a brother, John (Jill) Spiwak of Cheshire; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Michael Church, 25 Maple Avenue, Beacon Falls. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
