Obituary of Kathleen I. Kevalas

Kathleen Irene Kevalas, age 67 of Beacon Falls, died peacefully on May 12, 2022 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born in Derby on February 21, 1955, she was the daughter of the late John and Ann Visselli Kevalas.  Ms. Kevalas was a graduate of Seymour High School and a longtime member of St. Michael Church of Beacon Falls where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She was an Acting Registrar of Beacon Falls and was employed with the CT Department of Transportation as a Fiscal Administrative Officer for 34 years until her retirement in 2021.  She was always active, whether it be walking, yoga, exercising or playing volleyball with the Town of Beacon Falls Adult Education Program.  She had a great love for her pets.  Ms. Kevalas is survived by her devoted son, Keith Dizinno of Beacon Falls; sister, Alberta (Robert) Mirer of Moodus; brother, George (Rhonda) Kevalas of North Haven; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John P. Kevalas.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, May 19, 2021, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Michael Church, 25 Maple Ave., Beacon Falls.
