Obituary of Thomas Ambrose

AMBROSE- Thomas Ambrose, age 88 of Milford, beloved husband of the late Mamie Strattard Ambrose, died January 22, 2010 in the Rocky Hill Health Care Center. Born in Windber, PA on January 1, 1922, he was the son of the late Michael and Susanna Goray Ambrose. Mr. Ambrose worked as a union carpenter for over thirty years, until the time of his retirement. He was an avid golfer and bowled in Milford and Stratford bowling leagues. In 1971, he placed first with a score of 905 in the Town Fair Lanes Bowling League. Mr. Ambrose enjoyed hunting, archery and mechanical tinkering. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Eileen Ambrose of Meriden and Marie Hudak and her husband, Michael of Milford; and cherished granddaughters, Heather and Alicia Hudak of Milford. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.
