Obituary of Frances Borkowski

Frances Kort Borkowski of Ansonia, age 90, wife of the late Alfred G. Borkowski, died peacefully in her home on March 30, 2022. Born in Ansonia on May 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Rose Michalak Kort. Mrs. Borkowski was a lifelong resident of Ansonia and communicant of St. Joseph Church.  She was a graduate of St. Joseph School and Ansonia High School, also a certified dental assistant.  Mrs. Borkowski was a bookkeeper for the family business until her retirement.  She is survived by her devoted sons, Kenneth Burke and his wife, Patricia of Mississippi, Robert Burke and his wife, Karen of Massachusetts, and Gregg Burke and his wife, Donna of Shelton; six cherished grandchildren; Nicole and John, Sydney and Madison, and Megan and Ryan; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers; Joseph and Ben Kort; and sisters; Stella Balusek, Harriet Wilenski and Helen Wokanovicz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 32 Jewett St., Ansonia. Interment with will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby.
