Obituary of Eugene J. Bizewski

Eugene John Bizewski, Jr., age 78 of Oxford, died peacefully on November 26, 2021, at Griffin Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on October 30, 1943, he was the son of the late Eugene John and Helen Mary Holewinski Bizewski. Mr. Bizewski was raised in Bridgeport and was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for over 40 years at the University of Bridgeport, retiring in 2005 as the Supervisor of Facilities Maintenance Department. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Bizewski found great peace in hiking and camping. He enjoyed driving and in his younger years took many memorable road trips with his family. Mr. Bizewski spent considerable quality time with his family, enjoyed tinkering on his car and jaunts to the casinos. He is survived by his devoted sons, Robert  (Lita May) Bizewski, Sr. of Oxford,  Donald (Melissa) Bizewski of Bethel, and Shawn Bizewski of Ansonia; a sister, Kathy (John) Pimpinelli of Southington; a brother, Thomas Bizewski of Southport; cherished grandchildren, Robert, Jr., Corey and Krysta Bizewski and Amanda, Brooke and Nicholas Bizewski; as well as great-grandchildren, Ayden and Piper; his former spouse, Margaret Haas Bizewski of Seymour, former daughters-in-law, Tammy Lee Hanz Bizewski of Shelton and Michele Skonicki Bedard of Oxford;  nephews, Michael Pimpinelli, Brian Pimpinelli and Kevin Pimpinelli and great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 6:30 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  Interment will be private.
