Obituary of Oksana Los

Oksana Los, age 54, beloved wife of Maxym Toryannik of Shelton, died October 5, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, surrounded by her family.  Born in Khmelnitsky, Ukraine on July 27, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Boris and Nina Rymar.  Oksana moved to the U.S. in 1998, settling in Connecticut. Oksana was a generous and loyal friend to many and lived her life to its fullest. Oksana was a woman of many talents. She was an outstanding cook, amazing florist and gardener, and the most welcoming host. Her home was always full of friends, joy and laughter. Oksana loved being in the nature and held her pets “Leona” and “Baby” close to her heart.  She will be long remembered for her special love for her family. In addition to her husband of 20 years, she is survived by her devoted children, Victoria and Valeriy; cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Nicolette; and a dear niece and nephew, Uliana and Sergey.  Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at 12:30 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home; 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
