Obituary of Lucia Dripchak
Lucia Dripchak, age 69, beloved wife of Edward Dripchak, died Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Griffin Hospital, with her family by her side. Born in Managua, Nicaragua on December 13, 1951, she was the daughter of Vilma Mercado Rueda of Derby and the late Roberto Rueda. She worked as an FSS Coordinator for the Ansonia Housing Authority for over 15 years, until the time of her retirement. Mrs. Dripchak enjoyed Gardening, cooking, traveling and attending annual Fall fairs like the “Big E”. She will be long remembered for her special love and devotion to her family. In addition to her husband of 46 years, she is survived by her devoted children, Kelly Dripchak of Cromwell and Edward Dripchak of Ansonia; brother, Isidro “Rob” (Stravoula) Rueda of Woodbridge and sister, Margie (Luis) Acosta of Waterbury; cherished grandson, Grayson; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
