Obituary of Sandra Eisemann
Sandra Eisemann, 96, Interior Designer, lover of Bassett Hounds and bridge player extraordinaire passed away on May 9, 2021. Sandy was born in Atlantic City, NJ and grew up in Bronxville and Manhattan. Her father was Edward Lane of Philadelphia, PA, and her mother Dorothy (nee Goudman) was English. Sandy was a graduate of Bryn Mawr college and later earned Master’s Degrees in both Interior Design and Art Therapy. She was an interior designer for many years with Ethan Allen in Norwalk and later got her real estate license and worked for William Raveis. Sandy lived in Westport, CT for 47 years and raised her three children there. She was married to her husband Alex for 52 years. After his passing, she moved to Southport and then Fairfield to be closer to her family. Sandy passionately loved theater her entire life and she was very knowledgeable about movies especially, film noir. Sandy also loved figure skating, and all the arts. She enjoyed fine dining and had a very dry and witty sense of humor. Sandy is survived by her three children: Jody and Kate (Bruce Mandelbaum) in Fairfield,CT and Alex (Alli Shepherd) from South Salem, NY. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Jack Tranmer, Will Mandelbaum and Sawyer Shepherd-Eisemann. She will be missed by her many friends and her devoted companion, Cayce the dog.
