Obituary of Stefania Gebuza
Stefania Gebuza, age 91, beloved wife of Szymon Gebuza of Darien (formerly of Shelton), died peacefully on May 10, 2021 at Stamford Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Rychwald, Poland on February 16, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Maria Garan Pisarczyk. Mrs. Gebuza immigrated to the U.S. in 1965 and settled in the Valley and residing in Shelton for many years. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and gardening, but her life’s greatest joy was her grandchildren; having the opportunity to watch them grow into adulthood, becoming parents and providing her with eight cherished great-grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted children, Mary (Andy) Kowalczyk of Darien, Roman (Lee) Gebuza of Huntington, and Myron Gebuza of New Canaan; brother, Seman Pisarczyk of Ukraine; grandchildren, Lisa (Michael) Warycha of Norwalk, Illene (Matthew) Dmyterko of Cheshire, Roman Gebuza of Huntington, Janine (Pierangelo) Corticelli of Greenwich, Paul (Danielle) Kowalczyk of Milford, and Kevin (Kristina) Gebuza of CA; as well as eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Stefan Gebuza; brothers, Stephan Pisarczyk, Peter Pisarczyk, and Michael Pisarzyk; and sisters, Anna Mizansky and Emilia Pisarczyk. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave.,
