Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Smith

Elizabeth Anne “Betty” Smith, age 82 of Ansonia died peacefully on November 18, 2020 at Griffin Hospital, surrounded by her family.  Born in Portchester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Louise Svehlak Burlone.  Mrs. Smith was a homemaker, enjoyed shopping and her daily walks in her Pershing Drive neighborhood, visiting her friends in all the local stores.  She was often found visiting the employees at Kentucky Fried Chicken where she was a friend to all and always welcome. Mrs. Smith is survived by her children, Randy (Tammy) Reed of Ansonia, Stephen (Lucy) Burlone of Stafford Springs, Maryanne (Mark) Quiriconi of Orange, David Smith of Waterbury, Donald Reed of Ansonia, Darren (Maria) Dugan of Monroe, and Dennis Brooks of TN; sisters, Alice Tracy of Bridgeport, Veronica Heimall of Putnam; brother,  Michael Burlone of FL; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Louise Burlone; a granddaughter, Heidi Burlone and a brother, Louis Burlone.  She will be deeply missed, we love you Mom, Grandma, Betty!
