Obituary of Brandon Lee Thompson

Brandon Lee Thompson, age 40, of Ansonia, died September 17, 2020 at Griffin Hospital following a sudden illness. Born in Greenville, TX on July 30, 1980, he was the son of Rickie and Carrie Hausenfluck Thompson. Brandon was raised in Norwich, CT and worked as a general construction contractor until his recent employment with the Connecticut Laborer’s Union.  He was an extremely hard worker all of his life and his primary goal was to take care of his two cherished sons, Troy D. Thompson and Tyler J. Thompson, whom he loved immeasurably. Brandon lit up a room with his infectious laugh and his sweet smile; he was great for a bear hug!  He will be long remembered as an only son, a beloved brother and a devoted father.

Throughout his life, Brandon was a caring and generous man, as an organ donor, he was able to save the lives of several others in need.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his aforementioned sons Troy and Tyler and their mother Dawn Thompson of Ansonia; sisters, Katynia Speight and her husband, Shane of Lebanon, Vicktrie Hilario and her husband, Marcus of Lebanon, and Mariah Chapman and her husband, Rich of Taftville; his best friends, who were like brothers, Eugene Brown and his wife Tel, of Ledyard, Eric Jones of Stonington and Michael Jones and his wife Katie of Ledyard; as well as many nieces and nephews. Brandon was loved and is survived by many friends and family.
