Obituary of Dorothy Rose Motel

Dorothy Rose Motel, age 90 of Seymour, beloved wife of the late George Motel, II died peacefully on July 15, 2020 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. Born on February 5, 1930 in Olyphant, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Stella Partyka Malinosky. Mrs. Motel was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ansonia and resided in Seymour over 60 years. She worked as a retail sales clerk for the former Isaacson’s Clothing Store and the former Ames Department Store, until the time of her retirement. Mrs. Motel enjoyed cooking, especially traditional Polish dishes and her renowned eggplant. She is survived by her devoted children, Donna Capowich of Bethlehem, George (Judy) Motel, III of Goshen and Robert (Theresa) Motel of Bristol; a sister, Betty Cain of Ocala, FL; cherished grandchildren, Lindsay and Christopher Capowich, George Motel, IV, Kristen Motel Chichester, Kayleigh Motel, Robert Motel, Jr. and Caroline Motel; great-grandchildren, Hayden Chichester, Donovan Boldt and Madelyn Ryan; and step-grandchildren, Lillian and Aaliyah Sirois. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by brothers, Joseph and John Malinosky and a sister, Alice Beechko. Funeral Services and interment in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby are private.
