Obituary of Cynthia Powanda

Cynthia Powanda, age 63 of Shelton, died peacefully on May 1, 2020 at the Hewitt Health and Rehab Center. Born in Derby on December 20, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Karwarski Powanda. Ms. Powanda was a lifelong Valley resident and was self-employed as a house keeper, until the time of her retirement. She is survived by cousins and friends. Due to the social restrictions because of the Covid-19 virus, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ansonia. Private interment will take place in Sts.
