Obituary of Stanley Adamczyk
ADAMCZYK-ADAMCZYK- Stanley Adamczyk, age 83, beloved husband of Genevieve Narowski Adamczyk of Derby, died April 11, 2009 at Griffin Hospital. Born in Poland on April 25, 1925, he immigrated to the United States in 1946. Mr. Adamczyk worked for many years for the Teledyne Co. as a davenport screw machine set up and operator, until his retirement in 1983. He enjoyed the TV game shows Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He will be long remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather that was especially proud of his Polish heritage. In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his children, Wanda Macedo and her husband, James of Norwalk, Michael Adamczyk of Ansonia and his former spouse, Maureen of Bethany, Ann Marie Minnigerode and her husband, Keith of FL; his twin sister, Stella Psuja of Ansonia; and cherished grandchildren, Colleen and Jimmy Macedo of Norwalk, Victoria and Michael Even Adamczyk of Bethany, and Ryan Minnigerode of FL. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 9:15 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave., Derby at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby.
