DANNY WAS MY UNCLE IM LEROY DUNN'S SON. I REMEMBER GOING INTO THE BRIDGE PORT TATTOO SHOP WHEN I WAS ABOUT 3 YEARS OLD, IT WAS THE FIRST TATTOO SHOP I EVER WENT INTO. I LOVE IT EVERY YEAR AT CHRISTMAS TIME I WENT UP TO CT. TO SEE ALL MY FAMILY I HAVN'T BENN UP THERE FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS AND IM SAD THAT I DIDNT GET TO SAY GOODBYE. THE LAST I TALKED TO HIM I TOLD HIM I WANTED TO BE A TATTOO ARTIST AND HE TOLD ME HE WOULD BE MY MENTOR, THEN MY DAD TOLD ME HE PASSED AWAY, I DREW THE LOGO FOR THE BIDGE PORT TATTOO SHOP BUT I WASN'T ABLE TO GIVE IT TO HIM, I LOVE YOU DANNY R.I.P. TO THE BEST TATTOO ARTIST IN THE WORLD.

When i remember Danny with my husband, we laugh about what a ladies man he was 'back in the day'. He was a very deep, intelligent man,and artistically talented man who was not always the kindest to aquaintances, but ALWAYS kind and generous to his true friends.

Thanks Danny. You were one of a few that gave me my start in the biz 30 years ago. I still smile when I think of the times that you broke my stones, but that was part of the deal. You were (and are) a good man. Your with Jack, Bear, Wagner, Coleman, Grimm, and company sleeping in the needles. I'm sure it is quite the party. The winds at your back, mate. On to a new adventure. Our profound loss is your gain.

Danny will truely be missed. He touched everyone's heart that ever met him. I first met Danny back in the early 70's in Lawrence, Kansas. There I watched many a day and night of tattoo party's watching Danny do his wonders. He always wanted to give me a tastt for my birthday of a flamingo in flight. I passed on the idea for years until this past October. There I met his "Guardian Angel" Suzie. It was wonderful seeing him so happy and full of life. We had lost touch after his move from the "Old Blue Bird Motel" in Missouri until I called him out of the blue and we reconnected. I am thankful and honored to have known Danny and will always keep him close to my heart (my hip too). He will be missed. My sympathies to all. -Helene Rosen Las Vegas, NV It

I knew Danny for over fifteen years - what a terrific person he was and such a talented guy. I have so much of his work on me that he will never be forgotten in my mind or in my heart. There are not too many people that you meet in this world that every time you think of them you smile and laugh - Danny was one of those people. He was truly a great person to know and I will miss my friend.

Danny was a free spirit with a wonderful heart. He and I met during the late sixties (wow - over 40 years ago!!), riding motorcyles and needing the lifestyle and freedom that was our common bond. We had gone down different life paths but again our paths crossed when he came down to Louisiana for his liver transplant. It was a great last year and so. I feel privilaged to have been here for him. And I cherish the times we spent together. Dave

Danny was always my favotie father's friend. As I grew up he was mine for time. Ill never forget the marker and stencil tattoos on skinny little 8yr old arms, getting yelled at for always trying to pet Jack or Maxine, and later for the bits of witticism that could only come from Danny. Its the end of an era, I hope heaven has lots of bare skin, long highways, and of course dogs!

Danny touched so many lives in a good way. We were neighbors from the time I was born. Met 18 years later in the club and he remembered me like it was yesterday. Gentleman Johnny's memories of Nomad's impeccable taste of choppers, that ring and zuppa de pesce at Rosies, opened Johnny's world to live up to 100% of his potential. No matter the distance, time or place when we saw each other we were family. We will meet again. May God Bless his loved ones and give them strength. R.I.P. Ride Free.

Forty two years ago Danny sponsored me into the Huns MC in Bridgeport Connecticut. Forty two years later, after watching him have a remarkable recovery from not one but two liver transplants, and then watching him have a wonderfully happy "Honeymooner" like relationship with his sweetheart Suzie, I said goodbye to Danny last Tuesday in New Orleans, Louisiana. I am glad he is at peace and will miss him very much.
