Obituary of Danuta Maciulewski

Danuta Maciulewski, age 57 of Bridgeport, died peacefully on August 31, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Bridgeport.  Born in Poland on April 22, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Maria T. Gierula.  Ms. Maciulewski immigrated to the U.S. in 1972, was raised in Westport and graduated from Staples High School.  She attended Katharine Gibbs College of Norwalk and earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. Ms. Maciulewski worked as a bookkeeper at West End Moving and Storage for many years and a Bridgeport resident for 35 years.  She will be long remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.  Ms. Maciulewski is survived by her devoted son, Adam R. Maciulewski and his wife, Natalia, of Ansonia; and granddaughters, Anastazja and Aleksandra Maciulewski of Ansonia; as well as many cousins and relatives in CT and Poland.  Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at 9:30 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave., Derby.  Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.  Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememorial.com.
