Dear Richard and family, My most sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. I am sure that your will be comforted by your family and all your lovely memories. I just remember being in Fowler School and thinking you were the luckiest kid to be able to go home for lunch with your mom instead of the noisy cafeteria. What a privilege to spend time with her! (although it didn't feel as "cool" at the time). Thank you for sharing the lovely pictures of all the family gatherings. May you find comfort in the hope of seeing her again. Truly yours, Judi

To the family of Catherine: Catherine was an inspiration to us all. She was a power house; a beautiful, funny and energetic woman who will be missed by all of us lucky enough to have known her. Her service to the veterans at the West Haven VA was tireless. She cared passionately about others, especially the veterans. If something was needed by a vet, she would find a way of being sure that need was met. She was one of the strongest and most independent woman we have ever known with one of the biggest hearts we have ever known. She cared passionately for others and despite her own medical issues, put service to the veterans before her own needs. The world will be a little dimmer at the VA without her, her light was so strong, but please know that she will never be forgotten. May the many memories you shared, bring you comfort and peace. Sincerely, Mary Lou Lauricella and Stephanie O'keefe Recreation Creative Arts Therapist VACT Healthcare, West Haven, CT

My Aunt Catherine ("Keck") was 21 years old when I was born, and one of my earliest memories of her was on her wedding day six years later when she married my Uncle Sam. She wore a beautiful white satin gown with a long train, and I was so impressed that she had married the "real" Uncle Sam! I moved to the West Coast when I was 17 and my visits after that were too infrequent, but I remember my Aunt Catherine could always make me laugh! She had some great "one liners" and she never seemed to worry about anything (unlike my mother, her sister, Anne). I saw her for the last time in September, 2007, when I traveled East with her great-great niece, my grand daughter, Kacie. Although she was older and slower, she still had that "twinkle" in her eye! I will miss her and the holiday phone calls and her type written notes with all the family news that came in the birthday cards that she never forgot to send! I was so fortunate to have her in my life for so long. Now she will live in my heart forever. God bless you Aunt Catherine.
