Obituary of Olga Sobin

SOBIN- Olga Sobin, age 84 of Shelton, died August 15, 2008 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Shelton on April 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Antonia Cirkot Sobin. Miss Sobin was a lifelong resident of Shelton and member of Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church. She was an employee of the Industrial Heat Treating Co. of Shelton for many years until her retirement in 1984. Olga was a lovely woman with a kind heart. She will be missed by those who were privileged to know her. She is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and nephews. Miss Sobin was predeceased by brothers, Dimitry Michael Sobin, Peter Sobin and her fraternal twin, Vladimir Sobin. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 9:15 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Funeral Service will be held in Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and Friends may call on Monday, August 18, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Memorial Prayers at 4:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Three Saints Church.
