Obituary of William Kain

Bill Citizen Kain, age 69, beloved husband of Claudette Nadeau Kain of Seymour, died July 3, 2008 in his home following a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Born in Staten Island, NY on May 25, 1939, he was the son of the late Henry and Lillian Pederson Kain. Bill was a graduate of Curtis High School and attended Farmingdale University. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve for nine years, where he played on the USCG Team. Bill was a Golf Pro for many years at various clubs and remained an avid golfer and teacher of the game. He also owned and operated a swimming pool company. Bill's lifelong devotion to his NY Yankees was known to all and he loved attending games at Yankee Stadium. He was known for his fun loving spirit and friendliness. In addition to his wife and best friend of 43 years, he is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Piscitelli and her husband, Ernie of Trumbull and Cindy Botti and her husband, Brent of Seymour; sons, Brett and Ward Kromholz; sister, Ann White of Staten Island, NY; and cherished grandsons, Mathew Piscitelli of Trumbull, Rocco and Cosimo Botti of Seymour of whom he was most happy and proud to be their Grandpa; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 7:00 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will be private.
