Obituary of Joseph Frank Mirabile

MIRABILE - Joseph Frank Mirabile, age 76 of Norwalk, entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2015 at Stamford Hospital. Born in Bronx, NY on March 15, 1938, he was the son of the late Francesco Giuseppe and Justine Souza Mirabile. Mr. Mirabile was a longtime resident of Norwalk, previously residing in Levitt Town, NY and Bronx, NY. He worked as a self-employed carpenter and remodeling contractor, specializing in exquisite kitchens and baths, until the time of his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, billiards and darts in his leisure time. Mr. Mirabile is survived by his devoted children, Rev. Matthew J. (Inger) Mirabile of Fairfield, Jeffrey M. Mirabile of Chicago, IL and Lonna C. (Kim) Stenild-Johansen of Fairfield; a brother, Carl (Maria) Mirabile of Malverne, NY; as well as eight cherished grandchildren and also many nieces and nephews in Long Island, NY. A Memorial Requiem Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 11:00 AM in the Anglican Catholic Cathedral Church of the Resurrection, 6 Church Street, Ansonia. Springtime interment will take place in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia is in care of arrangements.
