Obituary of Anna Baslak
Baslak- Anna Baslak, age 84 of Shelton, died September 24, 2007 in the Gardner Heights Health Care Center. Born in Seymour on December 20, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Pelagia Baslak. Ms. Baslak was a long time resident of Seymour, a member of the VFW Ladies Aux. of Seymour and life long member of Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church. Before retiring in 1978, Ms. Baslak worked as a machine operator for the Chromium Process Co. of Shelton for many years. Survivors include sister, Mary Hanchak of MD; brothers, Michael Baslak and his wife Rose of Ansonia, William Baslak of Beacon Falls; several nieces and nephews, as well as many other great-nieces and great-nephews. Ms. Baslak was predeceased by sisters, Pauline Johnson and Tatiana Uhoch. Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 28, 2007 at 9:15 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Funeral Service will be held in Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Avenue, Ansonia, at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
