Dear Dad,
Thanks for teaching me to ski and swim, to be a strategic and cerebral thinker, helping me solve math problems, learn how to ride a bike and light my own campfire, picking out my first dog Zach from the Westport pound, feeding the ducks and other wildlife, using the corn for traction during the winter, woodworking with your radial arm saw, teaching me to drive, putting me through college at your alma matter Univ. of Colorado in beautiful Boulder, buying me my first car - the same 1994 Nissan Pathfinder I drive today, introducing me to far away countries and places, showing me kindness, compassion, intellect and hearty humor, and thanks for traveling the long distance to Hawaii, the 50th state you stepped foot in, to give away my hand in marriage on 5/26/13 to Andrew who will take good care of me, and we will take good care of Mom. Anyone who can fly a giant C-46 plane over the treacherous Himalayas during a war without GPS, but w/ a needle gage, is my hero. Love, Heather Lee
