Obituary of Jean Comcowich

Jean Patrice Comcowich, age 50, of East Haven, died peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2013. Jean was born in Derby on February 10, 1963 and was the beloved daughter of Thomas E. and Jean P. DeMartin Comcowich of Huntington. Jean was a 1981 graduate of Shelton High School and attended Sacred Heart University. Jean was a longtime resident of Huntington and West Haven before moving to East Haven three years ago. Jean was passionate about her career as a medical coordinator for several prominent doctor's groups and medical facilities in the New Haven area. She will be remembered for her love of the beach where she would spend time in the summer, her soft spot for animals, especially her two cats and being an avid reader. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her devoted sisters and brother, Lauren J. (Nicholas) Steen of Minnesota, Thomas E. (Lisa) Comcowich III of Wallingford, and Lynn A. (Kenneth) Damato of Huntington; cherished nieces and nephews, Catherine Damato of Plainville, Cassie Steen of Minnesota, and Matthew & Daniel Comcowich of Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial, MEETING DIRECTLY AT CHURCH, will be celebrated on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM in Holy Rosary Church, Father Salemi Dr., Ansonia. Interment will be in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia, is in care of arrangements.
