Obituary of Doris Tsakonas

DORIS TSAKONAS- Doris (Craft) Tsakonas, age 89, of Ansonia, wife of John T. Tsakonas, died June 24, 2013 at the Masonic Home in Newtown, CT. Doris was born November 2, 1923 in Derby, CT, the oldest of 14 children to the late Hermen Perry Craft and Louiena M. (Phannebecker) Craft. Doris worked for many years along side her husband at Vonetes Luncheonette, and is still remembered for her candy making. In addition to her husband, who resides at the Masonic Home in Newtown, Doris leaves two sons, Edward M. Tackach and David A. Tackach; a daughter Sharyn E. Daley; two brothers, Rodney Craft and Phillip Craft, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 at 2:00pm at Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia, CT. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, CT.
