Obituary of Darleen Keller
Darlene L. Keller, age 65, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Raymond M. Keller, Sr., died peacefully on February 28, 2013 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Ilion, NY on August 16, 1947, she was the daughter of Lucia Williams Helmer of East Haven and the late Gordon Helmer. Mrs. Keller was raised in Milford and was a long time resident of Shelton where she was a Communicant of St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her plants and flowers and crocheting. Her passion was her family; she was the consummate caregiver always, available to nurture her grandchildren with her love and affection. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her devoted children, Raymond (Olga) Keller, Jr. of Torrington, Kimberly (Michael) Johnson of MO, Michelle (Christopher) Maybeck of Shelton and Jason G. Keller of Shelton; sisters, Jean (Rocco) Candela of New Haven and Kathy (Steve) Zisk of Milford; God-daughters, Christine Warner and Jeannine Candela; 14 cherished grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 9:30 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church, 430 Coram Ave., Shelton. Interment will be private.
