Obituary of Hilda Perun
PERUN – Hilda Rose Perun, age 92 of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Russell Perun, died, Friday, February 22, 2013, peacefully in her home. Born in Bavaria, West Germany on September 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Straulino Zang. Mrs. Perun worked as a seamstress for many years and was a devoted parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ansonia. She was recognized by Griffin Hospital for her volunteer efforts in making thousands of baby caps for newborns. She enjoyed traveling throughout CT with her husband's band and was a member of the Seymour Senior Center. Mrs. Perun is survived by a brother, Alwin and his wife Gretel Zang of Germany; several nieces and nephews in Germany; her devoted caregivers, Sunny Allen of Shelton and Jennifer Kochiss of Seymour; and dear friends, Samuel and Rosemarie Salerno of FL and Paul and Jenny Chaplick of Seymour. She is predeceased by three sisters and one brother. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Preservation Fund of Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
