Obituary of Dorothy LaRowe

LaRowe- Dorothy G. LaRowe, age 67 of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Robert R. LaRowe, died peacefully December 28, 2012 at Griffin Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Derby on January 19, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Koerber Rogalis. Mrs. LaRowe was a lifelong Valley resident, a 1963 graduate of Ansonia High School, and worked as a receptionist for the Birmingham Group Health Services for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and talking on the telephone to her many friends and relatives. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Frances E. LaRowe of Ansonia; cherished granddaughter, Alexis M. LaRowe of Ansonia; sister, Elizabeth Marrone of Cromwell; a brother, Joseph Rogalis and his wife, Maureen of Seymour; brother-in-law, Gary LaRowe and his wife Carolyn of Bushnell, FL; special cousins, Chris Smyth of Torrington; Connie Lieder and her husband, Corky of Oxford, and Colleen Lieder of Seymour; as well as many other cousins, nieces and nephews; lastly, special friends, Steve, Genie, Elaine, Nancy, Julie, Tina and Liz. Very special thanks to all of the nurses at Griffin Hospital, surgeon Dr. Ponomarenko, and longtime doctor, Dr. Schwietzer. Funeral services are private.
