Obituary of Janice Cohen

COHEN – Janice Marie Cohen, age 87, of Derby died December 18, 2012 at the Birmingham Health Center, Derby. Born in Haverhill, MA on June 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Lemerick and Lillian Genthner. Mrs. Cohen resided in Westport for over 46 years and worked in the offices of the Pyrofax Gas Co., Westfair Ford, and the Westport Senior center until the time of her retirement. She loved psychology and considered herself a self titled psychologist. Mrs. Cohen enjoyed bingo, politics and watching CNN. She is survived by her devoted children Garet Cohen (Nancy) of Ansonia, Denise Rodriguez (Frank) and Allan Cohen (Kathleen) of Milford, Duane Cohen (Debbie) of Westport, Harriet Cohen of New Hampshire, Doreen Ryan (Kenny) of Massachusetts, and Annie Cohen of VT. 12 cherished grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
