Obituary of Josephine Minervino

Minervino- Josephine C. Minervino, age 85 of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Peter J. Minervino, died February 29, 2008, in the Bishop Wicke Health Care Center, Shelton. Born in Bridgeport on February 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Macarelli Napolitano. Mrs. Minervino was a long time resident of Stratford and parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport. Before her retirement, she worked as an assembler for the Harvey Hubbell Co. for over 30 years. She is survived by her devoted children, Alfred Minervino and his wife Mary Anne of Prospect and Mary Ann Olsen and her husband, Ron of NC; a brother, Lawrence Napolitano and his wife Millie of Stratford; a granddaughter, Marisa Lavoie and her husband Michael of Prospect and a cherished great-granddaughter, Olivia Paige Lavoie of Prospect. Mrs. Minervino was predeceased by brothers, Lou, Peter and Phillip Napolitano and sisters, Rachael Cimino and Marie Pierro. Funeral services will take place from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia, on Monday March 3, 2008 at 8:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Rosary Church, E. Washington Ave., at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
