Obituary of Matt Maciulewski

MACIULEWSKI- Matt Maciulewski, age 53, beloved husband of Linda Valley of Shelton, died peacefully on August 30, 2012 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Bagny, Poland on September 3, 1958, he was the son of the late Waclaw and Bronislawa Lukaszewicz Maciulewski. Mr. Maciulewski immigrated to the U.S. in 1980 and resided in Shelton for the past 12 years, previously of Milford and Bridgeport. He was a self employed electrical contractor, owning and operating EDT Services LLC, specializing in electrical, data and telecommunications. Mr. Maciulewski was an avid golfer and active member of PAGA- Polish American Golf Assoc. He participated in many regional and international tournaments. In addition to his wife of 23 years, he is survived by his devoted son, Adam R. Maciulewski and his wife Natalia of Ansonia; brothers, Tadeusz, Kazimierz and Jan Maciulewski and a sister, Helena Kirejczyk, all of Poland; a cherished granddaughter, Anastazja Maciulewski of Ansonia; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave., Derby. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call on Monday, September 3, 2012, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of St. Michael Church.
