GULIUZZA- Josephine M. Guliuzza, age 66, beloved wife of Joseph A. Guliuzza, Sr. of Oxford, peacefully passed away on November 18, 2011 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Bridgeport on April 4, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Louise Heissner Mandell, Sr. Mrs. Guliuzza worked as a paraprofessional with special needs students in the Seymour School System for many years until her retirement in 2008. She enjoyed listening & dancing to "oldies" music, hosting magnificent holiday and family gatherings, and will be long remembered for natural motherly instinct her love and devotion to her family. In addition to her husband of 44 years, she is survived by her devoted children, Joseph A. Guliuzza, Jr. of Seymour, Gina G. Mignogna and her husband, Bruno of Ansonia, and Dawn M. Guliuzza of Chicago, IL; sister, Louise Rebecco of Bridgeport; brothers, Joseph Mandell and his wife, Barbara of Stratford, and George Mandell and his wife, Ann of Stratford; also survived by a granddaughter, Alissa Deaguiar of Waterbury, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Elaine Guliuzza; brothers William Mandell, Jr. and Lawrence Mandell; sisters, Jennie Bourdea and Marie DeProfio. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 8:15 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 9:00 AM in Holy Rosary Church, Father Salemi Dr., Ansonia, at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Family and friends may call on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
