Obituary of Anna Krauchick

KRAUCHICK- Anna W. Krauchick, of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Nicholas Krauchick, died January 31, 2009 in the Bishop Wicke Health Care Center, Shelton. Born in Ansonia, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Mary Kwochka Washenko. Mrs. Krauchick was a lifelong valley resident, graduate of Ansonia High School, and a lifelong devout member of Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church where she was a member of the Choir and Ladies Aid Society. Before her retirement, she worked for the Scott Fetzer Company for many years. She could often be seen speeding about the valley in her "silver bullet". Her memory will be ageless and timeless to all that knew her. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Elizabeth Krauchick and her husband, Edmond Boni, and Karen Rose; a brother, Samuel Washenko all of Seymour, as well as her beloved canine companion, Blizzard. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Krauchick was predeceased by brothers, John, Frank, Panko, Nicholas and Michael. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM, in Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia. Private interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Three Saints Church. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Dominic Casablanca and to the many caring individuals at Griffin Hospital for the superior care Anna received over the course of her illness.
