Obituary of Rose Baslak

BASLAK- Rose Marie Baslak, age 98 of The Woodlands, TX, beloved wife of the late Michael N. Baslak, died July 2, 2012 at the Park Manor Health Care Center, The Woodlands, TX. Born in Lancaster, PA on February 8, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Domenica Aveni Garofolo. Mrs. Baslak was a longtime Ansonia resident before moving to Texas a year ago. She was a home maker and parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, Ansonia. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Monica Dean and her husband, William of TX, Diane Foster and her husband, William of Oxford and Joan Baslak-Jones of New Hartford; cherished grandchildren, Jason Foster and his wife, Amy of Watertown; Erica Foster of Bethlehem, and Aaron Jones of Ansonia, two great-grandchildren, Ian and Kellen Foster of Watertown; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Baslak was predeceased by brothers, Joseph, John and Salvatore Garofolo and sisters, Nancy Barone, Jean Dzwonchyk and Florence Albarella. Private Funeral Services were held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, Ansonia. Interment followed at Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
