Obituary of Rose Ferretti

FERRETTI-Rose Lena Ferretti, age 92 of Seymour, died peacefully May 8, 2012, surrounded by her family at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Derby on March 2, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Enrico and Ersilia Gabianelli Ferretti. Miss Ferretti was an Ansonia resident most of her life, before moving to Seymour 15 years ago. She worked as an Account Secretary in the Ansonia Office of the Superintendant of Schools for many years until retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Ladies Guild and the Derby and Seymour Senior Centers. She is survived by her dear nieces, Linda Ferretti of Bridgeport and Lisa Goldenberg and her husband, Peter of Killingworth; a devoted cousin, Arthur "Buddy" Ferretti of West Haven; cherished great-niece, Stephanie; as well as a great-great niece and nephew. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Mary Savoyski and brother, Henry Ferretti. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Holy Rosary Church, Father salemi Dr., Ansonia at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
