Obituary of Pasquale Cusano
CUSANO- Pasquale Joseph Cusano, age 90 of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Maria Antonia Cusano, died August 8, 2011, surrounded by his family, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Waterbury on November 17, 1920, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Madelena Cusano. Mr. Cusano was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. He served as Gunner's Mate 3rd Class aboard the USS Augusta, the flagship at Omaha Beach during the Normandy invasion. Mr. Cusano was the former owner of the "Prime Rib" market of Westport and retired from First National Stores in 1978 after more than 20 years of employment. He is survived by his devoted son, John Cusano and his wife, Morgan Smith of CT and daughter, Judy Worobel of PA; a brother, Art Cusano of CT; cherished grandchildren, Dina Worobel of PA and Stephen Worobel III and his wife, Kelli, of FL; great-grandchildren Carmen Elisa of PA and Stephen Worobel IV of FL; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 9:00 AM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:15 AM in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull. Interment with full military honors will be at St. John's Cemetery, Monroe.
