Obituary of Julia Machowski

MACHOWSKI- Julia Kowtko Machowski, age 87 of MN, formerly of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Bronislaus S. Machowski, died February 1, 2011. Born in Ansonia on April 20, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Maxim and Mary Kopcha Kowtko. Mrs. Machowski was an Ansonia resident before moving to MN three years ago. She was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church and worked as a bookkeeper for Kasden Fuel for 27 years, until her retirement in 1985. She is survived by her devoted son, James S. Machowski and his wife Barbalyn of MN; a cherished granddaughter, Katherine Ann Dinsmore of MN; a sister, Marilyn Michel of Seymour; a sister-in-law, Marie Kowtko of Waterbury; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Olga Pozucek and Ann Evon; and brother Max Kowtko. Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 7, 2011, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia. Spring time interment will take place in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call on Sunday, February 6, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Panikhida will be held at 6:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Preservation Fund.
