Obituary of Eleanor Palumbo

PALUMBO- Eleanor G. Palumbo, age 83, of Derby, formerly of Norwalk, died peacefully on October 20, 2010 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. Born in Louisburg, NC on January 25, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Louella Perry. Mrs. Palumbo was a dedicated mother, grandmother and resident of Norwalk for aprox. 40 years, before moving to Derby 7 years ago. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Jean Bardos of Norwalk and Linda Florenza and her husband Bishop Rocco Florenza of Ansonia; sister, Lula Champion of GA and brother, Claude Perry of MS; 4 cherished grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. Private graveside services were held in the Norwalk Union Cemetery, Norwalk. A Memorial Service will take place on November 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Cathedral Church of the Resurrection, 6 Church St., Ansonia.
