Obituary of Nadine Kostenko

KOSTENKO- Nadine Kostenko, age 55, of Hamden, died in her home on July 14, 2010. Born in Bridgeport on March 11, 1955, she was the beloved daughter of Helen Hanko Kostenko of Shelton and the late Alex Kostenko. Miss Kostenko was a long time resident of Bridgeport and Seymour, before moving to Hamden 17 years ago. She worked as a dispatcher and secretary for the ACES program of North Haven for many years. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and love for animals, especially her pet birds. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a devoted brother, Alan Kostenko of Westfield, MA and a devoted aunt, Sylvia Wall of Trumbull. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her fiancé, Marcus Vargas. A graveside memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at 11:00 AM in the Pine Grove Cemetery, 15 Church St., Ansonia.
