Obituary of Linda Ann Harris

Linda Ann Harris, age 54 of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Leo Steven Harris, died peacefully on May 21, 2024 surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer.  Born in Derby, CT on September 1, 1969, she was the daughter of the late Paul Andrulat and Barbara Ann Crofut.

Linda was a lifelong resident of Seymour CT, and a 1988 graduate of Shelton High School. Linda was employed by Seybridge Pharmacy in Seymour, just short of the last 20 years, as well as The Dollar Tree of Oxford since 2017.  Aside from spending her time working, she loved to spend time with her family.  She took every chance she got, to whoever’s ears she had the pleasure of speaking to, to share in great length the love she had for her son, Kyle. Spending time with Kyle and his wife, Angela is something she always treasured. As an aunt, she would frequently babysit her nieces and nephews, and once they had children, she was always more than willing to babysit them as well. Not only did Linda find joy in babysitting her nieces and nephews, but loved spending time with her grandpup, Sal.  Growing up with pets, Linda grew to have a great love for all animals. She took every opportunity in her lifetime to rescue and adopt all of the family dogs that she had throughout her years. When Linda wasn’t working, you could find her at home, reading books, specifically Nora Robert’s, or driving around in the fall time “leaf peeping” at the fall foliage. She was a lover of all things butterflies, Winnie the Pooh, and Teddy Bears, and often collected anything she could find of those things.

Linda is survived by her son, Kyle Harris (Angela); granddaughter, Giuliana Harris; brothers, John (Cindy) Kekac and Paul Andrulat; sister, Barbara (Kenneth) Turner; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her late husband, Leo Harris, who passed at the young age of 44, and whom she loved with her whole heart. They spent 15 great years together, 9 of which were spent as husband and wife before his passing; her mother, Barbara Andrulat; and longtime partner, George Marsh. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to all of the doctors, nurses, and social workers at Yale New Haven Hospital-Smilow, as well as The Grimes Center for all of their patience, love, and care during Linda’s illness.
