Shirley was a valued member of our commercial real estate team, Varnum/Armstrong/Deeter, in Kansas City for many years. She was known for her hard work, her concern for her clients, her honesty, and her dedication to always doing the right thing. She had a heart of gold. We were sorry to see her move from Kansas City, but knew that she wanted to be with her Connecticut family above all. We send our sympathy to the family.

Shirley, you will definitely be missed by me and many others. You were a great volunteer in the Real Estate World with both the CCIM CT Chapter and the CCIM Institute in Chicago. It was my pleasure to have not only met you, but to have served with you on numerous occasions throughout our CCIM Careers. As great of a volunteer you were, the person you were was much greater than that. I know you are probably caring and mentoring others in heaven right now, because that is who you were. Thank you for your volunteer service, not just in the real estate world, but also as a Retired US Marine! Shirley was one of the most kind and sincere human beings that I have ever known. I had the privilege of knowing her through both the Kansas City CCIM Chapter and through the CCIM Institute, where we served on various committees together. Shirley had a servant heart and truly had compassion for everyone around her. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to your entire family during this difficult time. May God grant you His peace during the days, weeks and months ahead.
