Obituary of Roxie Marie Malyszko

Roxie Marie Malyszko, age 57, beloved wife of Greg Malyszko of Seymour, died June 2, 2023, surrounded by her family at Yale-New Haven Hospital.  Born in Missouri on November 20, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Mildred Stone Carr.  Mrs. Malyszko was raised in Missouri and moved to Oxford, CT in 1984.  She began her career as an Automotive Service Writer at the West Chevrolet Dealership, Woodbury, where she was employed for 20 years.  She then worked at the Shaker’s Family Dealership in Watertown for seven years, until the time of her illness.  Roxie enjoyed posting to social media and will be long remembered for her special love for her family.  In addition to her husband of nearly 25 years, she is survived by her devoted sons, Gregory Malyszko, Jr. and Christopher McSwain, both of Seymour; a sister, Mary Sapp of MO; brothers, Joseph Carr of CA, Dale Carr and Timothy Carr, both of MO; brother-in-law, Richard Malyszko and his wife, Lori of Middlebury; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister, Ann Bowen. 

 

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 9:30 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Avenue, Derby.  Interment will be private.  Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememorial.com.
